Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Birdie Booking helps golfers automate tee time reservations. This Privacy Policy explains what information Birdie Booking (“Birdie Booking,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By using Birdie Booking, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. What We Collect
We try to collect only the information we need to operate Birdie Booking.
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect your email address, display name, profile photo, and other basic account information. Authentication is handled using Google Firebase.
Booking information
When you ask Birdie Booking to make a reservation, we collect information necessary to process that request, such as:
- the golf course;
- requested date;
- earliest, preferred, and latest tee times;
- number of players;
- number of holes;
- player or rate type, when applicable;
- booking status and outcome; and
- reservation or confirmation information returned by the course or booking provider.
We retain booking history so you can see your bookings and so we can operate, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
Golf course credentials
Some golf courses or booking providers require you to sign in before making a reservation. If you provide credentials for a supported course or booking provider, we store those credentials so Birdie Booking can authenticate and perform booking-related actions you request.
We do not use your golf course credentials for advertising or analytics. We do not intentionally send them to our analytics providers.
Your credentials are provided to the applicable golf course or booking provider when necessary to authenticate your account and carry out your requested booking.
You can remove stored course credentials through your Birdie Booking account.
Location
We may use an approximate location derived from your internet connection or IP address to help sort or display golf courses near you.
If you choose to grant your browser permission to access your device’s location, we may also use more precise location information to help find nearby courses. We do not access precise device location without your permission.
You can withdraw location permission through your browser or device settings.
Payment and subscription information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment information according to its own privacy practices.
Birdie Booking receives information necessary to manage your subscription, such as your Stripe customer reference, subscription status, plan, and billing status. We do not receive or store your full credit or debit card number.
Usage and technical information
We use analytics and operational tools to understand how Birdie Booking is used and to keep the service working properly.
This may include information such as:
- pages or features viewed;
- booking funnel steps;
- browser and device information;
- approximate geographic information;
- referral information;
- page and application performance; and
- errors and technical events.
We currently use Google Analytics for usage measurement.
2. Information We Keep Out of Analytics
We configure our analytics implementation not to intentionally send sensitive or directly identifying information such as:
- email addresses;
- passwords;
- golf course credentials;
- guest names; or
- phone numbers.
Our analytics layer is designed to block this information based on both field names and recognizable value formats before analytics events are sent.
Where booking activity is measured, we use booking identifiers rather than your Birdie Booking user ID where practicable.
Despite these safeguards, analytics and infrastructure providers may automatically process certain technical information, such as IP addresses, as part of providing their services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- create and maintain your Birdie Booking account;
- make tee time booking attempts you request;
- authenticate with golf courses and booking providers on your behalf;
- show courses relevant to your location;
- manage subscriptions and payments;
- send booking confirmations, status updates, service messages, and other transactional communications;
- provide customer support;
- troubleshoot failed bookings and technical problems;
- protect Birdie Booking and its users from fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- understand how people use Birdie Booking and improve the service; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising.
4. When We Share Information
We do not share personal information except as necessary to operate Birdie Booking or as otherwise described in this Policy.
Golf courses and booking providers
When you ask us to make a reservation, we provide the applicable golf course or booking provider with the information necessary to make that reservation. This may include your name, account credentials, player information, requested tee time, and other information required by that course or provider.
A tee time secured through Birdie Booking is ultimately a reservation with the applicable golf course or booking provider, and their own privacy practices may apply to information they receive.
Service providers
We use third-party companies to help operate Birdie Booking. These currently include services such as:
- Google Firebase, for authentication, hosting, databases, and application infrastructure;
- Stripe, for payment and subscription processing; and
- Google Analytics, for usage measurement.
These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.
We may also use other vendors for infrastructure, email delivery, security, error monitoring, customer support, or similar operational functions. We limit the information provided to these vendors to what is reasonably necessary for them to perform those services.
Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce our agreements; investigate fraud or abuse; or protect the rights, safety, and security of Birdie Booking, our users, or others.
Business transfers
If Birdie Booking is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its business or assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
5. Cookies and Analytics
Birdie Booking uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as keeping you signed in and maintaining your session.
We also use analytics technologies to understand how the service is used and how it performs.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default. Analytics cookies are not stored unless the visitor provides the required consent.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of Birdie Booking from working properly.
Birdie Booking does not use advertising cookies to serve targeted advertisements.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Birdie Booking, maintaining appropriate business and financial records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and abuse, and complying with legal obligations.
In general:
- Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after account deletion when necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or administrative purposes.
- Golf course credentials are retained while they are connected to your account and are deleted or made inaccessible when you remove them or delete your account, subject to limited backup and security retention.
- Booking information may be retained as part of your account history and for operational, support, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Payment and transaction records may be retained for the periods required by tax, accounting, payment, and other applicable laws.
- Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings we maintain with our analytics providers.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Because Birdie Booking may store credentials used to access third-party golf course accounts, we treat those credentials as sensitive information and restrict their use to the functions necessary to provide the booking service.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed despite our safeguards.
If you believe your Birdie Booking account or stored credentials may have been compromised, please contact us promptly.

- opt out of certain uses of personal information where applicable.
Birdie Booking does not sell personal information or use personal information for targeted advertising.
You can update certain account information, remove stored golf course credentials, and manage or cancel your Birdie Booking subscription through your account.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.
9. Children
Birdie Booking is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Birdie Booking, please contact us.
10. International Data Processing
Birdie Booking and the service providers we use may process or store information in the United States and other countries.
As a result, your information may be processed in a country with privacy laws different from those where you live. Where required, we or our service providers use appropriate mechanisms designed to protect personal information transferred internationally.
11. Third-Party Services
Birdie Booking interacts with golf courses, tee time platforms, payment providers, and other third-party services.
Their websites, accounts, and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Birdie Booking is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that independently collect or process your information.

When we update it, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
